Dr. Arne von Bonin

Arne von Bonin

Arne von Bonin studied biology at the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz. In 1993, he habilitated at the Max-Planck-Institute for Immunobiology in Freiburg. He was then employed as a scientist in pre-clinical research at Novartis AG in Basle. In 1994, he moved to the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology). The main focus of his work was on signal transduction in human and murine T-cells, and the interaction of heat shock proteins with antigen-presenting cells. In 2001, he spent a sabbatical at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm (Sweden). Between 2004 and 2008, Dr. Bonin was director of various research groups in the Global Drug Discovery division at Bayer Schering Pharma AG in Berlin. Since 2008, he has been employed at the headquarters of Bayer AG, in the Corporate Development Department. He has published over 40 specialist articles and book contributions, and is a member of several scientific associations.

 

Dr. Mag. Dietmar Czernich LL.M. (NYU)

Dietmar Czernich

Dietmar Czernich studied law at the Universities of Innsbruck, Tübingen and New York. He held positions as visiting lecturer in Austrian civil law and international private law at the University of Innsbruck, and at the Liechtenstein University of Applied Science, the Schloss Hofen University of Applied Science and the Raiffeisen Academy (Vienna). Mr. Czernich is an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration of the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Supervisory Board of Boehringer Ingelheim Austria GmbH. Author of numerous publications in the fields of international contract law, international civil procedural law and European law, he is licensed to practise as an attorney in Austria, Italy and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The main focus of his work is in the fields of commercial and company law, construction contract law and public procurement law, international contract law (cross-border leasing) and international prosecution of crimes, and arbitral jurisdiction.

 

Michael Motschmann

Michael Motschmann

Michael Motschmann has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years, and during this time has been actively involved in the formation and setting up of several companies in Austria and abroad. Until a company sale in December 2007, he was managing partner of one of the biggest steel hardening companies in Germany. In 2004, Mr. Motschmann co-founded MIG Verwaltungs-AG, and as a member of the Board of Management he is Head of the participations division. MIG AG is a management company for various VC funds which are financed by private investors and which invest in participations in companies in Germany and Austria, mainly in the life science and high-tech fields. Michael Motschmann is on the Supervisory Boards of several non-listed companies.
